How it works

Getting your access token

A quick walkthrough for the credential this template needs.

1. 1**api.slack.com** → **Your Apps** → create or open an app → **OAuth & Permissions** → install to workspace.
2. 2Copy the **Bot User OAuth Token** (`xoxb-…`) and paste into **Access token**.
3. 3Add the OAuth scopes required by Slack’s MCP (channels, chat, users, etc.); reinstall the app after scope changes.
